PS-DECT

The Personal Security DECT handset (PS‑DECT) is a compact and robust unit that combines the protection offered by a personal alarm device with the convenience of a DECT phone.
 
The Personal Security function gives reassurance to lone workers or personnel operating in potentially dangerous environments (e.g. industrial complexes, psychiatric institutions, prisons, deserted premises at night).

Personal Security DECT handset

 Manual Alarm button  : on the PS-DECT handset means one touch and a call for help is sent immediately to alert Central Control and Colleagues.

 Active security check  : the AlphaDesk central control PC and the PS-DECT handsets perform bi-directional checks at regular intervals to ensure system integrity and handset function (no user intervention needed)

 Lone Worker  : programmable "Life Sensing" option. The Alphadesk central control PC sends a message at pre-programmed time intervals. The user acknowledges the message to indicate that he/she is still ok.

 Listen in  : from central control PC.  Automatic on/offhook when the PS-DECT handset is in manual alarm mode, provides clearer picture of the nature of the alarm (e.g. fire or aggressive patient)

 Location detection  : PS-DECT handsets are equipped with a location receiver, which receives signals from Location Beacons as the wearer passes.  In an emergency, the handset will automatically send the last 2 passed Location Beacons to the AlphaDesk central control PC & Colleagues.

Location precision can be increased when more Location Beacons are used.

Combining on-site Paging, Personal Security and DECT cordless telephony in one sturdy handset,
the PS-DECT guarantees that personnel on the move can always be reached.
 
 
 

Location can also be achieved using Base Stations:  Information about the previous and current base station is sent to the AlphaDesk central control PC. Because the range of base stations is quite large, this information can only be used as a rough search indication e.g. restrict search to a certain building or area.
